FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering, namely to methods of producing bimetallic conductors with an aluminium alloy core and a copper sheath, used for the production of wires with a diameter of up to 3 mm, intended for use in electrical products used in audio equipment, wireless power transmission systems, high-precision sensors, special resistors and capacitors, hearing aids, high-frequency signal cables. On wire from aluminium alloy of Al-Fe system, preliminary drawn to required diameter, in alkali solution (NaOH) with subsequent washing in hot and cold water, clarification and activation of surface in nitric acid (HNO3) nickel is applied in sulphate electrolyte (NiSO4) at 40 °C for 5 minutes at current density of 5 A/dm2 until the nickel layer reaches thickness of at least 20 mcm, with subsequent application of copper in sulphate electrolyte (CuSO4) at room temperature for two hours at current density of 5 A/dm2 until copper layer thickness is not less than 60 mcm.
EFFECT: high mechanical strength and electrical conductivity of the bimetallic conductor.
