FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology, in particular to a method for determining activity of an alternative complement pathway for predicting pre-thrombotic conditions. Said method involves mixing citrated blood plasma with solution containing 0.15 M calcium chloride, followed by recording coagulation on an enzyme immunoassay, wherein the citrated plasma recalcification is carried out in the presence of an alternative pathway activator of the complement system, which is a lipopolysaccharide, in concentration of 4 mg/ml, and 0.5 M of magnesium ions. At the same time as a control in these samples in parallel recalcification of citrated plasma without lipopolysaccharide is performed, percentage of fibrinogen coagulation at activation of an alternative path is calculated.

EFFECT: present invention provides prediction of plasma hypercoagulation and threatened systemic thrombosis with activation of an alternative pathway of the complement system in a test for determining activity of a contact coagulation pathway.
