FIELD: hydraulic engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydraulic engineering, namely to devices for swirling water flow in pressure pipelines of various purposes. Device for swirling water flow in a pipeline comprises alternating polished and rough strips formed on the inner surface of the pipe wall and arranged coaxially to the pipeline in the form of spirals to reduce the coefficient of friction losses and preserve the laminar flow of the liquid when critical values of the Reynolds number are exceeded. Rough strip is a narrow and long section on the inner side of the pipe with a parallel direction of irregularities relative to the axis of the strip.
EFFECT: pipe device with reduced hydraulic losses is proposed.
