SUBSTANCE: invention relates to drilling soil or rocks; extraction of oil, gas, water, soluble or fusible materials or minerals in the form of sludge from drilling wells, in particular to means of controlling valve devices located outside the well, as well as to methods or devices for controlling flow of produced liquid or gas in wells or to wells. Device for automatic well shut-off consists of a housing, inside of which there is a working fluid tank with a manual pump, a hydraulic distributor and pneumatic hydraulic accumulators installed on it. Pipeline pressure gauge and needle valves are installed on the post, which are made with the possibility to adjust the throughput hole. Pilot device comprises a low pressure control valve and a high pressure control valve. Device comprises a hydraulic circuit configured to connect ground shutoff elements of the well with a pilot device. Device comprises a hydraulic circuit configured to connect underground shutoff elements of the well to a pilot device and a hydraulic circuit connecting the working pipeline and the pilot device. Hydraulic circuit made with possibility of well surface shutoff elements connection with pilot device, hydraulic circuit made with possibility to connect underground shutoff elements of well with pilot device, hydraulic circuit connecting working pipeline and pilot device, are connected to the tank and to pneumatic hydraulic accumulators by means of a hydraulic distributor made with possibility of switching between hydraulic circuits, and to the pilot device – by means of needle valves. Disclosed is a method for automatic well closure.

EFFECT: improving safety and reliability of well closing, as well as increasing well closing speed without risk for system reliability.
