FIELD: powder metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy, particularly, to production of porous materials from titanium. It can be used to produce damping, sound-absorbing materials and medical implants. By cold pressing of rapidly crystallized titanium fibre, a semi-finished product is obtained, placed in a hydrogenation unit and heated to 750-800 °C. Hydrogen is then fed and hydrogenation is carried out to obtain a hydrogen concentration of at least 2 wt.%. Thereafter, hydrogen sintering is carried out for 1-2 hours and dehydrogenation in vacuum at sintering temperature for 0.5-2 hours.
EFFECT: obtaining porous titanium fibre material with high compression strength.
