FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical industry, namely to methods of producing nickel oxide. Method of producing nickel oxide uses a crystalline hydrate of nickel sulphate in the form of NiSO4⋅7H2O, an aqueous solution is obtained therefrom. Plant aerial part extract and nickel sulphate solution in ratio 3:1 with addition of 2% NaOH solution are continuously mixed for 20-30 minutes. Obtained mixture is subjected to ultrasonic treatment for 20-30 minutes. Formed precipitate is washed from organic residues in distilled water. Then the maximum possible amount of supernatant is removed from the precipitate and dried in an air atmosphere at temperature of 80°C. Then calcined in muffle furnace at temperature 400-500°C for 30-60 minutes and nickel oxide is obtained.
EFFECT: increased specific surface area of nickel oxide.
