FIELD: radar equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of radar equipment and is used in the development of radar systems intended for determining the location of aircraft (AC). Essence of the proposed technical solution is as follows. In the aircraft navigation method, which includes the calculation in the measurement mode of the planned coordinates of the measuring section based on the cyclic measurements of the inclined distances in the associated coordinate system in the plane perpendicular to the direction of movement of the aircraft, before the beginning of each cycle of the measurement mode, the presence of a vertical line in a given sector of angles is checked, presence of a vertical line in the specified sector of angles is confirmed and the measurement mode is changed or the presence of a vertical line in the specified sector of angles is continued if the vertical line is outside the specified angle sector.
EFFECT: expansion of functional capabilities of aircraft navigation method.
