SUBSTANCE: cold-preserving material contains oxysulphide of rare-earth element, containing rare-earth element, oxide of rare-earth element with structure of garnet type, containing rare-earth element and Al, and also contains aluminium oxide. Ratio of the intensity of the X-ray diffraction peak of the oxide of the rare-earth element with a garnet-type structure to the intensity of the X-ray diffraction peak of the oxysulphide of the rare-earth element ranges from 0.1% or more to 40% or less.
EFFECT: invention enables to create a cold-retaining material having high volumetric specific heat capacity and high strength.
