FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemistry, namely to a water-soluble heat-resistant polymer nanocomposite with antimicrobial activity with respect to gram-positive and gram-negative strains of microorganisms. Disclosed nanocomposite consists of copper nanoparticles with size of 1-9 nm in a poly-1-vinyl-1,2,4-triazole matrix, wherein the copper content ranges from 1.5 to 6.1 wt. %.
EFFECT: invention provides polymer nanocomposites in the form of powder, including copper nanoparticles with a face-centred crystal lattice, as well as prevention of nanoparticle agglomeration and increased stability of the structure and morphology of the nanocomposite.
