FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: described is an effective liquid stable vaccine, which helps to protect cattle from a clinical disease that occurs as a result of an infection caused by parainfluenza virus type 3 (PI3), where said liquid stable vaccine contains live attenuated PI3 together with 10–30% (weight/volume) of sorbitol, and an amount of amino acid selected from the group consisting of 0.17–0.46 mol of arginine or combined total 0.2–0.6 moles of arginine and glutamic acid. Liquid stable vaccine has pH from 6.0 to 8.0. Also disclosed is a method of vaccination of cattle to help protect against a clinical disease, which occurs as a result of infection caused by PI3, involving the introduction of a liquid stable vaccine to cattle.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides maintaining the virus titre in the vaccine at a safe and effective level for a long period of time, in particular up to 3 years.
