FIELD: biotechnology; genetic engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method of detecting pathogens of respiratory infections in cattle is proposed: BPIV, BRSV, BHV-1, BHV-4, BCoV, BVDV-1, BVDV-2, BVDV-3 based on multiplex polymerase chain reaction (PCR). The proposed method includes the isolation of RNA/DNA from samples of biological material from cattle and a polymerase chain reaction with hybridization-fluorescence detection in real time for the simultaneous detection of viruses BVDV1, BVDV2, BVDV3, BRSV, BHV-1, BHV-4 BPI-3, BCoV causing respiratory disease in cattle. In this case, reverse transcription for cDNA synthesis is carried out directly during multiplex PCR, and the study of each sample is carried out in two independent reactions for the simultaneous detection of eight viruses in one sample.
EFFECT: method can be used in veterinary virology for the diagnosis of infectious diseases of farm animals, in particular, infectious rhinotracheitis, viral diarrhea — diseases of the mucous membranes, respiratory syncytial infection, coronavirus infection, herpes virus infection type 4, parainfluenza-3 of cattle.
