SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of chemistry and medicine, namely to a method of treating xenopericardium, which includes washing it from blood in phosphate-buffered saline, 5 consecutive cycles of xenopericardium freezing with subsequent defrosting in a thermostat at temperature of 37 °C to complete defrosting, washing with deionised water, treatment of xenopericardium with decellularizing solution of sodium dodecyl sulphate, sodium deoxycholate and ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid, dissolved in Tris buffer, followed by washing with distilled water and treatment with phosphate-salt buffer, as well as treatment with a cross-linking solution containing 1-ethyl-3-(3-dimethylaminopropyl)carbodiimide, N-hydroxysuccinimide and MES buffer.

EFFECT: high strength and longer life of xenopericardium.
