FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to extraction of lithium in the form of lithium orthophosphate from lithium-containing hydromineral sources and formation waters accompanying oil and gas production processes, as well as solutions formed during lithium leaching from ore deposits. Method involves extraction of alkali-earth element compounds containing lithium compounds from the brine, subsequent deposition of lithium ions with orthophosphates of alkali metals or ammonium while stirring and separation of the solid phase of lithium orthophosphate by filtration or centrifugation. lithium ion deposition process is carried out with addition at temperatures not higher than 5 °C into the reaction system of limited water-soluble triethylamine or tributylamine in amount of 7.5-12.5 wt.% of the reaction mass, which reduces the solubility of lithium orthophosphate.
EFFECT: method provides efficient deposition of lithium orthophosphate while ensuring environmental safety.
