FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for predicting gas recovery of a coal mass. Method involves making a cavity in the formation. It also includes coal sampling, measurement of volatile substances in coal, its gas saturation and gas release indices. Additionally, fracturing is measured. Also, content of fusinite in coal mass, its gas-dynamic connection with coal gas is determined. Also, gas flow dynamics is determined. Intensity of the initial gas release into the cavity from the taken sample is measured by the gas content in the fusinite.
EFFECT: determination – forecast – of gas recovery of coal substance.
