FIELD: measuring.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for predicting the rate of reduction of gas release from a coal bed. Method involves making a cavity in the formation. Also includes coal sampling. Method also involves measuring content of volatile substances in coal. Method also involves measurement of gas saturation of coal and rate of reduction of gas from coal in time. Additionally determined are sorption properties of coal, coal fracturing and content of vitrinite in coal, gas-dynamic connection of vitrinite with coal gas. Rate of gas release reduction is determined from the gas content in the vitrinite.
EFFECT: forecast of rate – rate of reduction of gas release from coal bed after its opening by cavity – working, well.
