FIELD: disinfection, sterilization or deodorization of air.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to indoor air decontamination, particularly to inactivation of microorganisms in the field of corona-streamer discharge. Device contains at least one corona electrode supplied from a source of constant positive voltage, an electrostatic precipitator made in the form of two air-permeable electrodes with a porous dielectric located between them. Porous dielectric has a dielectric constant of less than 4. A positive constant potential of at least 7 kV is applied to the first electrode of the electrostatic precipitator in the direction of air movement.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of air disinfection, higher efficiency of device, reduced coefficient of aerodynamic resistance.
