FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in turbocharging units of internal combustion engines. Device for increasing efficiency of supercharging unit contains turbine (1), driven by it compressor (2) and sealed housing (7) of hydraulic drive with Pelton turbine (6). Device comprises injectors (9), electronic control unit (10), accelerator pedal position sensor (11), crankshaft speed sensor (12) and drain device (13). Housing (7) of hydraulic drive is installed between turbine (1) and compressor (2). An overrunning clutch is installed between Pelton turbine (6) and shaft (3). In housing (7) of hydraulic drive there is cavity (8) hydraulically connected to pressure reducing valve (16), tank (14), nozzles (9), high pressure pump (15). High-pressure pump (15) is configured to control electronic control unit (10).
EFFECT: reduction of the shaft moment of inertia at steady state conditions and elimination of inertia of the process of working fluid supply to the Pelton turbine blades at the acceleration mode.
