TANK ACCELERATION IMPROVEMENT DEVICE Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC F02D19/06 F02D23/02

Abstract RU 2820102 C1

FIELD: engines.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in internal combustion engines with compression ignition and turbocharging. Tank acceleration improvement device comprises engine (1) with intake and exhaust manifolds (2) and (26) connected with turbocharger (27). There is high pressure fuel pump (4) with an electromechanical fuel injection start angle corrector (7), connected to engine injectors (25), crankshaft position sensor (8), electric fuel pump (11) and electromagnetic injectors (3) installed in intake manifold (2) and connected to fuel rail (5). In addition, there are additional fuel tank (24), fuel supply union (6), coolant temperature sensor (13) installed in the cooling system pipeline, exhaust gas temperature sensors (29) installed in exhaust manifolds (26), tachogenerator (10) and control unit. Control unit (14) is made with possibility of switching on, indication of emergency modes, selection of fuel type, power increase level, control of electromagnetic injectors, electromechanical corrector of fuel injection start angle. Control unit (14) is connected to the on-board network, to the fuel injection start angle electromechanical corrector (7), to crankshaft position sensor (8), to the electric fuel pump, with coolant temperature sensor (13), with exhaust gas temperature sensors (28), with tachogenerator (10), with fuel pedal position sensor (20) and with brake pedal position sensor (22). In addition, the turbocompressor is equipped with an adjustable nozzle assembly with control mechanism (28) connected to control unit (14). Control unit (14) is connected to additional fuel temperature sensor (9) installed in fuel rail (25), and electromagnetic fuel valve (12) installed in fuel line. Control unit (14) is configured to correct the moment of the beginning of injection of additional fuel and its amount when outputting a signal to electromagnetic injectors (3) taking into account the crankshaft rotation frequency and temperature of the additional fuel.

EFFECT: provision of possibility to supply additional fuel from fuel system.
