FIELD: educating; medicine.

SUBSTANCE: when making a phantom for radiography, 3D model of the phantom is constructed from a digital roentgenogram. For this purpose, coordinates of each pixel of the digital X-ray pattern are converted to abscissas and ordinates of 3D model. Applicates of 3D model are calculated from the pixel brightness reflecting the X-ray attenuation in the phantom material depending on the thickness of the material. Control program for making a phantom or a casting mould of the phantom is formed for the purpose of subsequent manufacture of the phantom by casting. Phantom is made from a material which has radio intensity exceeding the X-ray density of human organs and tissues by machining on a CNC machine, printing on 3D printer or by casting. Calibration test object made from phantom material is used. To simulate pathological changes associated with darkening, pathology simulators made of plastic material are attached to the phantom.

EFFECT: providing compactness and ease of use of the model, the X-ray image of which is identical to the simulated digital X-ray image.
