FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, namely to dentistry, and is intended for use in forming curves on arches in orthodontic treatment of teeth. Orthodontic arch is placed under the clamp between two plates – the lower support plate and the upper pressure plate. Point of the supposed bend is placed outside the boundaries of both plates in the retainer of the lower support plate and passed through the retainer of the orthodontic arch, which is attached to a movable pin with a measuring scale at the end, which is installed in the inner cavity of the upper pressure plate. Movable pin is displaced along the marks of the measuring scale relative to the edge of the upper pressure plate by the required value providing the bending of the orthodontic arch by the specified value. At that, the pin displacement along the cavity is provided by rotation of the flywheel, the rotation shaft of which has an internal thread, and is passed through the other end of the pin having an external thread. At the same time in the lower support plate a flat recess is made in the area of the arc part. Orthodontic arch retainer of the lower support plate is made on an insert made of a metal stronger than the material of the lower support plate itself. Support legs are installed on the lower support plate from the lower part of the base.
EFFECT: due to high accuracy of arch bending, method allows, based on the clinical case, forming bend on metal arch for correct position of tooth in relation to dental arch.
