SUBCHONDRAL STRESSED REINFORCEMENT METHOD Russian patent published in 2025 - IPC A61B17/68

Abstract RU 2837528 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopaedics, and can be used for subchondral reinforcement of intra-articular fractures. Method involves subchondral delivery of two pins through fragments of an articular surface of the bone, bending the outer ends of the pins and pressing them to the bone with a plate by means of screws. Fragments of the articular surface of the bone are repositioned and fixed by the introduction of the pins; outer ends of the pins are bent at the articular surface at angle of 130-140°. Distal to the first bend at the level of the intact bone, the pins are bent in the same plane at angle of 90-95°. Points of entry of the bent ends of the pins into the intact bone section are marked and holes are made. Bent ends of the pins are immersed in the holes until they are borne against the bone, and the outer portions of the pins are pressed to the bone with the help of screws.

EFFECT: method provides eliminating the possibility of the pin ends displacement from under the external fixation apparatus and development of vertical instability of the strained pins by eliminating the possibility of the pin ends displacement from under the external fixation apparatus and the development of vertical instability of the strained pins.
