FIELD: ships and other floating facilities.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ship building, particularly, to gliding ships with partially submerged propeller. Propulsion system of a gliding vessel, comprising a support fixed directly at the stern of the gliding vessel, in which a gimbal bushing is installed on a pair of vertical hinges, which also has a pair of horizontal hinges, deadwood connected with gimbal bushing by means of horizontal hinges with possibility of swinging in vertical plane relative to gimbal bushing. Deadwood is connected to a linear drive for changing its angular position in the vertical plane by means of a shock absorber, the side walls are made of a sheet in the form of separate elements of side protection of the propeller blades and are connected to the upper wall. In each side wall there is an arc cutout directed from their loose end to the stern. Upper wall is made in the form of an upper protective cavitation plate, in which through openings are made. Installation is also equipped with a load-bearing rib located in the vertical plane of the deadwood and connecting the deadwood with the upper wall. Side walls, power rib and lower protective wing are located with formation of through passage of liquid between them to propeller.
EFFECT: increasing the flotation ability of a gliding ship, the reliability of the propulsion system, its strength and rigidity, increasing the propeller thrust due to better access of water to the propeller.
