FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment, namely to a drive for active limb prostheses and a method for manufacturing thereof. Drive comprises a complex of a heating element in the form of a nichrome wire and a capron monofilament capable of contractile motion when supplying electric current, crimping tips and wires for supplying electric current. At the same time nichrome wire and capron thread of equal length are connected at the ends of sections with crimping tips. Sections are twisted to a spiral state and heated for one hour. Stretched by 1/3 of the initial length of the spiral and cooled to room temperature. Mixture is reheated, cooled and left at room temperature for 24 hours. Wires are soldered to ends of lugs. Cylindrical silicone capsule with a spindle-shaped cavity inside is moulded. Capsule is placed in a polymer tube of the "Snake skin" type. Complex of a heating element and a capron monofilament with wires soldered to it is placed inside the capsule. Lower end hole of the capsule is tightly closed with fixation of the first end of the polymer tube of the braid. Cavity inside the capsule is filled with a substance with a boiling point of not more than +80 °C. Upper end hole of the capsule is tightly closed with fixation of the second end of the polymer tube of the braid.
EFFECT: higher resistance to physical damages, expanded operating performances, reduced dimensions and weight.
