FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to two-component coating systems for sealing substrates. Disclosed is a method of sealing a surface of a base, which includes at least a step of applying a coating composition to the surface of the base, wherein the coating composition can be obtained by mixing components (A) and (B) of the coating system with each other, wherein said coating system is two-component (2K) coating system consisting of two components (A) and (B), which are separated from each other. Component (A) contains at least one composite component (a1) containing at least one aromatic fragment and having at least two primary and/or secondary amine groups, and also containing at least one structural unit (II), where R2 is a C2-C8 alkylene residue and parameter n is an integer in range from 1 to 100; wherein the amount of any fillers present in component (A) does not exceed 5 wt.% based on total weight of component (A). Component (B) contains at least one composite component (b1) containing at least one aromatic fragment and having at least two isocyanate groups, as well as having at least one carbodiimide and/or uretonimine unit, and additionally contains at least one structural unit (I), where R1 is a C2-C8 alkylene residue and parameter m is an integer in range from 1 to 200. Each of components (A) and (B) has content of solids of at least 95 wt.% based on the total weight of the corresponding component. Also disclosed are a sealed base obtained using said method, a coating composition and use thereof as a sealant, as well as a two-component coating system.

EFFECT: composition and coating system essentially do not contain volatile organic compounds, but can be applied by spraying, allow autocatalytic hardening and provide immediate detection of surface leakage.
