FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of intensification of the production of shale gas and shale oil by hydraulic reservoir fracturing – HRF, in particular, to methods for the production of propping agents used as part of HRF working fluid. More specifically, the present invention relates to material in the form of quartz sand granules coated with a combination of cured polymers, where material in the form of granules plated with cured polymer is used as a propping agent for hydraulic reservoir fracturing. Coated dispersed material is described, consisting of quartz sand granules, while the specified granules are separately coated with one or several layers of cured elastomer selected from a group consisting of: (a) a composition of prepolymer based on methylenediphenyldiisocyanate and catalyst; or (b) a composition of polyester polyol and isocyanate based on methylenediphenyldiisocyanate. A method for the production of polymer sand includes: mixing of non-cured elastomer with bulk material preheated to a temperature of about 100°C, where polymer is selected from a group of polymers according to the cl.1; maintenance of the mixture of solid particles and elastomer at a temperature of above about 70°C for a time sufficient for polymer curing.
EFFECT: improvement of chemical resistance and resistance to crushing of a propping filler.
