SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a chamber and a method for testing materials for permeability for chemicals. Material permeability test chamber for chemical contaminants comprises an upper housing part equipped with one or more primary vent holes for the primary gas flow passage, and a lower part of the housing, equipped with one or more secondary ventilation holes for passage of the secondary gas flow. Upper part of the housing and the lower part of the housing are sealed together after placing the contaminant on the upper side of the test sample located between the upper part of the housing and the lower part of the housing. One of the secondary ventilation holes of the lower housing is made with possibility of attachment to the sorption tube for accumulation of the contaminant penetrated through the tested sample. Device is configured to mount: a load on the test sample to exert pressure on the contaminant to allow penetration of the contaminant through the test sample; and a perforated polytetrafluoroethylene mesh located under the test sample to allow passage of the contaminant into the sorption tube.
EFFECT: possibility of quantitative determination of chemical contaminant penetration density.
