FIELD: armour.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of protection against armour-piercing bullets of people and equipment inside vehicles. Combined unit of additional protection against bullets of automatic fire contains a layer made of bullet-resistant steel C-500, layer made on the basis of Kevlar type fabric armoured materials, layer made of an elastomeric porous substance reinforced with metal elements in the form of rings or plates with a hole or a metal mesh, intermediate layer made of titanium deformable alloy in a wave-like shape. All layers are connected to each other with the help of epoxy adhesive of “ЭДТ-10” brand, or with the help of epoxyphenol (ENPB), or elastomeric (SKU-PFL) adhesive.
EFFECT: changing the direction of movement of the projectile in the intra-armour plate and, as a result, reducing its armour-piercing properties.
