FIELD: armored protection, applicable independently or as a member of an armored vest or other means of human protection against injury by a bullet or some other moving object possessing a high kinetic energy. SUBSTANCE: bullet proof armor panel has a shell, laminated composite base, ceramic tile placed on it in the intermediate layer in the state of close compression. The intermediate layer is reinforced in the transverse direction by flexible clamps with density of 0.1-5 clamps per tile, the ends of the clamps are embedded in the shell in the base, and the base is made of layers of various stiffness with a more stiff layer adjoining the tile. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of protection due to enhanced survivability of the armor panel and reduced index of contusion injury beyond the armour. 1 dwg
