DEVICE FOR TOMOGRAPHY USING SEGMENT OF ANNULAR ANTENNA ARRAY Russian patent published in 2025 - IPC A61B8/00 A61B6/00

Abstract RU 2837967 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: tomography device in the form of a segment of an annular ultrasonic antenna array is made in the form of a metal base on which a damper is applied with alternating emitting and receiving antenna elements, phase shifters in the channels of the emitters, an adder of signals from all receiving elements, a monochromatic wave source feeding all radiating antenna elements through phase changers, a phase changer control device which is interfaced with an electronic computer. Segment of the antenna array is placed inside an applicator filled with emulsion fluid, which is configured to eliminate an air gap between the antenna elements and the patient's body. Segment of the antenna array is configured to focus and control the position of the focus and the size of either a quarter of the ring or a half of the ring.

EFFECT: using the given invention enables tomography of various parts of the patient’s body, simplifies the tomography operations, facilitates the data collection process, increases the convenience of manipulations during the tomography.
