FIELD: test equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to testing equipment, namely to devices for fixation of samples during fatigue tests. Gripper comprises an upper and a lower clamps connected to the input of the testing machine and, respectively, clamping two ends of the sample, upper and lower wedge-shaped elements fixing the position of the sample. Clamps are made in the form of fixing nuts. In the hole of the lower nut there is a body, the length of which must be not less than the height of the fixing nut, and the outer diameter is equal to the diameter of the hole of the nut, in the body there is a stop, the upper end of which is in contact with the lower end of the specimen. Wedge-shaped elements are made in the form of lower and upper collets with taper 12°, wherein outer diameter of top collet equals that of nut hole while outer diameter of bottom collet equals inner diameter of housing. Both collets have equal internal diameters, in the holes of which a sample is clamped, the taper of which is equal to 12°.

EFFECT: simplified design of the grip for testing the fatigue strength of a round rod specimen, which enables to carry out cyclic tests according to the “tension-compression” scheme, as well as the possibility of testing small-size specimens.
