FIELD: sealed neutron tubes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sealed neutron tubes and can be used in neutron generators for investigating geophysical and field wells, for radiation neutron therapy, as well as for simulating neutron fields of thermonuclear devices. Sealed neutron tube comprises a hollow cylindrical insulator, at one end of which a target is tightly fixed, at the other end of the hollow cylindrical insulator an ion source is hermetically fixed, consisting of a grounded metal housing, which is an anode, located axially to the anode in the volume of the cathode ion source and the anti-cathode with a central hole for extraction of ions. Anode serves as a collar of the hollow cylindrical insulator; the cathode, which is placed in the volume of the collar axially to it, has the shape of a disc of minimum thickness sufficient to ensure tightness of the tube, and is fixed on a pipe located axially to the collar. Cylindrical permanent magnet is located in the volume of the pipe. Pipe is tightly connected to the collar through an annular insulator.
EFFECT: increased flux of tube neutrons.
