FIELD: radioactive sources.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sealed neutron tubes and can be used in downhole neutron generators for survey of geophysical and field wells. Sealed neutron tube includes a target, a first accelerated ion source having a high-voltage tubular insulator, at one end of which a collar flange with a central hole is fixed, two coaxial conducting pipes arranged in the volume of the high-voltage insulator axially to it so that one end of the conducting pipe of a smaller diameter is fixed in the opening of the collar flange, and the other end is axially connected to the cathode, a disk permanent magnet located on the cathode surface facing the collar flange. Anode having the shape of a ring is axially fixed on the pipe of larger diameter; at that, the end face of the anode facing the collar flange is displaced relative to the cathode towards the side opposite to the collar flange. Sealed neutron tube further comprises a second source of accelerated ions, identical to the first source, wherein sources of accelerated ions are tightly and coaxially connected through a collar attached to ends of high-voltage tubular insulators, at that, facing each other ends of anodes form an annular slot for extraction of ions. Target has the shape of a ring and is placed on the inner surface of the collar.
EFFECT: increasing neutron energy in direction perpendicular to tube axis.
