FIELD: measuring.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of determining linear resolution on terrain (LRT) of aviation optoelectronic systems (OES). Proposed method for experimental determination of LRT of observation OES installed on aircraft is characterized by arrangement and fixation of dashed target on the ground with ratio of length and width of lines of 5:1, performing aerial photography of the target with the help of a UAV of a copter type, decoding the obtained aerial photographs, calculating an estimate of the resolution of the observation OES. At the same time width of lines in neighbouring groups of target varies by times, and distance between groups of lines of target is not less than width of a line of larger group. LRT value is determined from the width of the line in the recognized group of lines of the target, the height of aerial photography and the focal distance of the OES.

EFFECT: higher accuracy of determining LRT.
