FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to dentistry, and is intended for use in tracing cariogenic points in tooth enamel. Tooth is irradiated from the neck to edge for 5 s with the help of a measuring probe of a semiconductor microwave autodyne operating in a near-field mode. Recording the reflected signals, digitizing them, averaging the obtained data, plotting the dependence of the voltage of the reflected signals on the measurement time, graph of the analyzed tooth is compared with the graph of a known signal, which is an averaged value of three measurements, of a reference tooth, which is a tooth with carious lesions. Evaluation of the dental enamel state is carried out based on the comparison results and the necessity of remineralisation procedures is made. If the voltage range is up to 0.005 mV, the dental enamel is in good condition. At voltage swing up to 0.010 mV, local demineralisation is possible. If the voltage range is up to 0.015 mV, the tooth enamel is thinned. If the voltage range is up to 0.020 mV, caries or mineral-depleted enamel is observed. If the range is more than 0.020 mV, an acute carious lesion is observed.

EFFECT: due to non-contact control method allows increasing speed and accuracy of cariogenic points tracing in tooth enamel.
