FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: orthopaedic helmet comprises an external rigid frame and an internal ventilated layer and is provided with a side cutout and a lock fastener. Middle layer is located between the frame and the inner layer. Orthopaedic helmet is made on 3D printer from one flexible thermoplastic polymer material. Inner vented layer has thickness of 0.4-0.7 mm and is equipped with perforated holes. Middle layer is made in the form of a three-dimensional cellular structure with open cells with thickness of 10-15 mm and with the possibility of adjusting the thickness by cutting the cells with subsequent creasing of the three-dimensional structure. External rigid frame is located along perimeter of middle layer and is equipped with stiffeners. Lock fixture is configured to adjust the gap along the side cutout.
EFFECT: providing a simple, safe and effective design for using one product during the whole course of correction.
