FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: craniocorrector for infants is characterized by the fact that it includes a helmet with an open parietal region and ears, made from elastic textile materials, and correcting plates from a thermoplastic material. Helmet consists of a lining, a cushioning layer and an outer layer connected to each other; the lining layer is made in the form of a child’s head and is made from a material with a natural raw material composition; at that, its size exceeds the size of the child’s head by 1-2 cm. Lining and outer layers consist of a frontal and an occipital parts, each covering the lining layer with formation of gaps in temporal areas with width of 1-1.5 cm. External layer is made with the formation of two pockets on the frontal and five pockets on the occipital parts for insertion of correcting plates. In each temporal zone there are two textile Velcro fasteners for adjusting the size and fixing the craniocorrector on the child’s head.
EFFECT: providing correction of the infant’s skull shape during the whole period of treatment without the need for frequent replacement.
