FIELD: means of defence.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of protecting objects from combat short-range unmanned aerial vehicles. For protection, the fact of unauthorized approach to the boundaries of the protected object of a foreign unmanned aerial vehicle is revealed, its coordinates, range and flight altitude are measured with rough accuracy, in accordance with the measurement values, a balloon consisting of a shell and a nacelle, which is fixed on the surface of the earth, is lifted into the air to the required height through devices that allow changing the height of its rise, as well as providing power, unmanned aerial vehicle is exposed to electromagnetic radiation in the centimetre range of wavelengths with an antenna array consisting of microstrip antennae attached to the envelope of the balloon and connected to a generator of electromagnetic radiation in the centimetre range of wavelengths placed in the nacelle.
EFFECT: higher safety of protected object.
