FIELD: measuring.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to atomic emission spectral analysis and can be used for on-line diagnostics of internal combustion engines by content of wear metals in lubricants; rapid geochemical prospecting, as well as in material science research. Method for determining content of elements and forms of their presence in a sample and its granulometric composition involves controlled introduction of a gas flow of an air powder sample into a microwave plasma torch, registration of spectra by a combined hybrid assembly of solid-state photodetectors with registration of the same spectral range by different types of photodetectors with simultaneous registration of spectra in scintillation and integral modes. As an additionally introduced controlled sample, a liquid sample is used, which is either pre-sprayed, and then injected by a gas flow in the form of a fine aerosol directly into the microwave plasma torch, or first the fine aerosol is mixed in an additional mixing chamber with a rotating air flow, and the obtained secondary aerosol is introduced into the microwave plasma torch, or a secondary aerosol in the mixing chamber is additionally mixed with a rotating air flow of an air dispersed sample, and the formed suspension is introduced into the microwave plasma torch.
EFFECT: broader functional capabilities of the method, reduced measurement error, high reliability of the obtained analysis results.
