FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to atomic emission spectral analysis and a method of determining content of elements and forms of their presence in a dispersed sample and its granulometric composition. Method includes introducing a sample into a plasma flame, recording a sequence of atomic emission spectra when the sample enters the plasma and calculating intensities of analytical spectral lines taking into account the background under the lines of all the unknown elements depending on the time of arrival of the sample into the plasma flame. Plasma source used is microwave energy of heating of several in-series and independently controlled sources based on microwave plasmatrons with toroidal plasma of atmospheric pressure. Spectra are recorded using a multielement photodetector in scintillation and / or integral mode.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of efficiency of using the sample when measuring in a wide range of gross contents of analytes, high accuracy of measurements and enabling analysis at the sampling point.
