FIELD: analytical chemistry. SUBSTANCE: technique includes preparation of sample for analysis, preparation of standard samples, construction of calibration graphs, measurement of concentrations of determined elements. Signals each being tuned to analytical line of its chemical element are recorded over two or more measurement channels simultaneously. Equilibrium component of analytical signal is measured in addition to pulse component and spectrometer is calibrated in turn by standard samples containing dissolved impurity alone as well as by standard samples carrying impurities only in particles. Summary content of dissolved in sample and subfinely dispersed impurity is found separately and content of impurity in the form of finely dispersed particles is established separately. EFFECT: development of technique making it feasible to determine separately content of microimpurities of metals contained in sample in the form of solution or subfinely dispersed particles or in the form of finely dispersed particles of micron size. 3 tbl
