FIELD: medicine; biology.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method of enclosing histological sections in a non-luminescent transparent medium, which involves applying a silicate adhesive based on sodium metasilicate over the histological sections in an amount sufficient for complete encapsulation of the sections in the medium of the adhesive, and mounted on a slide of the histological sections, after which they are covered with a cover glass or a cover glass with a mounted histological section is placed with the side facing the slide so that the section is immersed in the adhesive, thereafter, the cover glass is pressed to the slide until the adhesive completely spreads under the cover glass and microscoped by light and/or luminescent microscopy.
EFFECT: invention provides the absence of intrinsic luminescence of the transparent medium for confining histological sections, reduces the length of histological section preparation and widens the range of agents for similar purposes.
