SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of forming an image and displaying data, used, for example, in retail trade and/or services, advertising, as well as during video conferencing, webinars, etc. Advertising and information device includes a housing made in the form of a vertically oriented rectangular light box with a power supply unit mounted therein, a timing controller, a control board provided in the housing wall with at least an interface connector for transmitting audio and video signals from an audio and video signal source, at least a connector for connecting peripheral devices, as well as a content display device built into the front wall of the housing, made in the form of a transparent LCD display, covering the inner space of the light box formed by the inner surfaces of the walls of the housing, made in a light colour, and having height of 184 cm to 190 cm and width of 3/5 of the height of the LCD, wherein the LCD is equipped with a white backlight configured to uniformly illuminate the LCD and the inner space of the light box.
EFFECT: broader functional capabilities of advertising and information devices.
