FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, current pulse shaping techniques, particularly to devices for supplying laser diode matrices for pumping solid-state lasers. Current generator consists of capacitive and inductive circuits. Capacitive circuit comprises series-connected storage capacitor, throttle, transistor switch with a control circuit, which contains a synchronization circuit and a threshold device with a reference voltage source, as well as a current sensor connected to the threshold device. Inductance circuit includes a throttle, a damper diode and a pumping source. Pumping source is connected in parallel to the throttle and is in form of an array of semiconductor lasers with the required operating wavelength. Throttle is equipped with secondary winding, to outputs of which pumping source is connected. Ratio K of number of N1 turns of primary and N2 secondary windings of throttle , where Usource is pumping source operating voltage, Ud is forward voltage drop on damper diode, ξK=1-10 is specified efficiency factor, and inductance of primary winding of throttle

is resistance of pumping source reduced to primary winding; R2 is resistance of pumping source; Δ is allowable relative drop of pumping pulse top; 0.1<α<1 is coefficient determined by current generator design. Reference voltage source can be made in the form of an increasing voltage generator with a relative increase compensating for the drop Δ.
EFFECT: increasing efficiency of current generator.
