SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of current pulse generation equipment, in particular to devices for supplying pulsed gas-filled pumping lamps of solid-state lasers with discharge of a storage capacitor through a lamp. Laser pumping device is made in the form of a closed circuit consisting of series-connected storage capacitor, a throttle, a gas-filled lamp, a transistor switch with a control circuit and a current sensor, as well as a damping diode connected in parallel to the throttle and the lamp. At that, the throttle and the lamp with the damping diode are connected between the output of the transistor switch and the high-voltage electrode of the storage capacitor, the control circuit contains a threshold device connected by its signal input to the current sensor, and at the output with a pulse generator connected to the input of the transistor switch. In addition, the device includes a photodetector with a load and a bias circuit such that the sensitive element of the photodetector is in the radiation field of the lamp, and the load of the photodetector is connected to the control input of the threshold device.

EFFECT: high pumping efficiency due to maintaining optimum current intensity.
