ELECTRONIC DEVICE FOR SELECTION OF INHALATION DEVICES BASED ON ESTIMATE OF OVERCOMING INSPIRATORY AIRFLOW RESISTANCE AND PEAK INSPIRATORY OR EXPIRATORY FLOW RATES Russian patent published in 2025 - IPC A61B5/87 A63B23/18

Abstract RU 2838952 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to an electronic device for selecting inhalation devices based on the assessment of overcoming inspiratory airflow resistance and peak inspiratory and expiratory flow rates. Device comprises a body with an end face comprising a connector for a disposable turbine, a disposable turbine, an optical unit on a control board with sensors for patient’s inspiratory and expiratory airflow readings at each moment of time. Device has a disposable nozzle connected to a diaphragm fixed on a bearing, configured to control a servo drive through gears. Device has a processor board, a touch screen display, a battery pack and an antenna amplifier. Diaphragm is removable and configured to vary the airflow resistance in the manual or automatic modes and to determine peak inspiratory and expiratory flow rates at a given internal resistance of the electronic device. Electronic device is configured to train the use of the selected inhalation devices and to train the respiratory muscles.

EFFECT: improving the effectiveness and safety of treatment, as well as improving the quality of life of patients by quickly selecting the required inhaler, including by means of training, which helps the patient in learning the proper use of the inhaler to receive the entire volume of the therapeutic dose delivered to the airways of drugs, as well as the training of the respiratory muscles according to the given techniques, the prevention of pulmonary diseases by measuring the peak air flow values, the volume-speed parameters of the external respiration function, the reproduction of the pre-set resistance change modes.
