FIELD: camouflage.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of camouflaging personnel from thermal surveillance equipment. Essence of the invention consists in increasing the efficiency of camouflaging personnel from thermal imaging means of observation due to the fact that the camouflaging means is made of a multilayer material, containing inner and outer fabric layers with low level of thermal conductivity and low coefficient of thermal radiation on the side of masked object, which reduce the spread of thermal radiation from the masking object in the direction of the observation means, as well as an intermediate layer, which is an air layer between the inner and outer layers, which, due to the low coefficient of heat conductivity of air, reduces heat exchange by radiation and heat conductivity between the masked object and the environment. This effect is achieved due to the fact that the air space between the inner and outer layers is created and supported by a honeycomb structure with cells in the form of regular hollow rectangular parallelepipeds, made of a flexible material with low thermal conductivity, wherein side surfaces have openings to allow free air convection between cells.
EFFECT: high efficiency of camouflaging personnel from thermal imaging means of observation, simplified manufacturing, as well as broader conditions for its applicability in practice.
