SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway transport, particularly, to appliances intended for platform cars equipped with floor and folding fitting thrusts. Box of a railway platform car includes guides (1, 2) for accommodating removable hatch covers, comprising two upper beams (3), to end parts (4, 5) of each of which there are rigidly fixed connecting elements (6) for rigid fixing in platform car frame. Lower beam (7) is welded to each of the upper beams, forming two welded beams (8), which are connected to each other by chords (9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14) along the upper, lower and middle planes, as well as along the rear and front sides. A plate (15) is hinged on the upper front belt and has retainer (16) on the lower front belt.

EFFECT: invention increases the strength and operational reliability of the box of a railway platform car.
