FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of construction, in particular to methods for repair, sealing and waterproofing of abutments, junctions, seams in existing and under construction structures, structures and structural elements exposed to dynamic and temperature effects, displacement of individual elements and parts, as well as in structures that are in static position. Method of repair of expansion joints consists in cleaning of cavity of damaged expansion joint, removal of damaged layer of joint walls and filling of cleaned cavity with sealing material. Complete sealing of the joint cavity is performed by installation of sealing cords with diameter of 1.3-1.5 of width of deformation joint made of ethylene-propylene-diene rubber (EPDM) rubber along the perimeter of the joint and vertically inside the perimeter, thus connecting sealing cords of upper and lower borders of the joint. Polymer elastic sealing material is pumped into the cavity formed between the sealing cords. Polymer elastic sealing material used is a four-component composition of an acrylic resin, a catalyst additive, water or an aqueous dispersion of polymers and an initiator additive. Polymer elastic sealing material used is polyurethanes, which consist of resin and polyol.

EFFECT: reducing the labour intensity of waterproofing work on abutments, joints, and seams in existing and under-construction structures while simultaneously increasing the reliability of the further operation of repaired structures.
