FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to gastroenterology, clinical laboratory diagnostics, and may be used for the prediction of a risk of hepatic fibrosis in postmenopausal females suffering overweight or obesity and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). Thrombocyte count, glucose concentration, aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and alanine aminotransferase (ALT) activity are determined. A risk of developing hepatic fibrosis (Y) is calculated by developed formula. If Y is 1 and more, a risk of hepatic fibrosis is predicted, while Y being less than 1 shows no risk of hepatic fibrosis.

EFFECT: method is objective, accessible, easy-to-implement, non-traumatic; it requires no additional examination techniques, provides higher prediction accuracy of hepatic fibrosis ensured by assessing a set of the most significant parameters.
