FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: present invention describes an optical scanning unit and an imaging apparatus; wherein the optical scanning unit comprises a plurality of light sources; reflection device; optical scanning system configured to direct a plurality of light beams reflected by the reflection device to corresponding target surfaces and comprising a plurality of reflecting mirrors for changing the direction of propagation of the light beams in the optical scanning unit; and a plurality of scanning lenses, wherein along the light path of the light beam propagation direction, each of the scanning lenses that are located closest to each of the target surfaces is a first scanning lens, the centre of the curved surface of the first scanning lens in the sub-scanning direction is not aligned with the thickness centre of the lens of the first scanning lens in the sub-scanning direction, and a region through which each of the light beams passes, first scanning lens is located on the side where the centre of the thickness of the lens is located, the centre of the curved surface in the sub-scanning direction. Thus, the first scanning lens can be made so as to have a smaller thickness in the sub-scanning direction.
EFFECT: invention reduces costs for lenses, thus ensuring high quality of printed images, while reducing costs for an optical scanning unit.
